As a mom to very premature twins, I have always been a bit of a worrier when it came to any new phase and stage of their development. I can recall being paralyzed in fear. What is the best burp cloth? What is the best wipe? What do you do when they really start moving?! There is a steep learning curve when it comes to parenting, and all the things your child may (or may not) like!
I profusely researched the best products, read countless reviews, and ran my thoughts by our doctors (maybe a little more than I should’ve). I know, there’s unconditional trust and validity to the guidance of your doctors. Rightfully so! They are the ones you look to for all things, big and small when you’re experiencing motherhood for the first time. It’s the teetering balance of being confident in your choices as a mother, and second guessing yourself at every turn along the way. As most caregivers would agree, each child is uniquely their own, with their own likes and dislikes. Not every product out there is for every child, especially when it came to bathtime (make one word). Our daughter would use the hot water handle to leverage herself to stand, almost scalding herself many times, and our son would stand up the second we tried to shampoo his hair, as he was frightened when he couldn’t see where the water was coming from.
